He prepared my son for not just the physical aspects of surgery, but also the mental and emotional. He was available and approachable for all of our questions. My son’s initial surgery was in Montana with Dr. Seifarth. We followed him to West Virginia for the removal. Knowing my son was in the best hands was worth the cost, time, and distance to travel to West Virginia!

Seifarth" title="Dr. Federico G. Seifarth" class="jrMediaPhoto" align="right" /> Both of our teenage boys developed pectus carinatum during their rapid growth spurts. Living in Montana, we figured we would have to travel out of state to consult about surgery versus bracing. Our pediatrician referred us to Dr. Siefarth in Kalispell, MT and we immediately knew how lucky we were upon meeting him. He is incredibly knowledgeable about chest wall deformities and presented us with options. He began by gaining our trust by explaining the entire outline of how the brace works and relayed his experiences with successful outcomes. Dr. Siefarth was very honest about the emotional and physical impacts wearing the brace can have. Through the process, he and his outstanding staff have always been available to answer any questions while following up on concerns with exceptional recommendations. We highly recommend him and are so pleased with the results. Our children's chest wall deformities are corrected and their confidence in themselves and their bodies has greatly improved. Our boys love the appointments with him because he is so good natured, has a fantastic sense of humor, and relates so well to kids. We are truly grateful!

Seifarth" title="Dr. Federico G. Seifarth" class="jrMediaPhoto" align="right" /> I knew that there was something not right with my son's chest. It was poking out. I literally could hold it and it fit in the cup of my hand. The bone that is, the "whatever" it was sticking out on the breast bone of my boy. Motherly in-stink kept telling me that this was not right. After asking our chiropractor if this was normal, going to our primary for a chest Xray and learning that what my son had was pectus carinatum...we began our journey with Dr Seifarth. My son Wesley was 11 at the start of this journey. Dr. Seifarth was absolutely amazing. Not only did he respectively address my child during his appointments, but he was honest...very clear with questions and answers...and he was available during every step of the process. Even checking on him at home that first week of wearing the brace. I really feel that he set Wesley up for success because of the very clear and honest expectations.
Here we are eight months in, just about done with the correction stage of the brace. My son has rocked this out!! And...HE LOOKS AMAZING!!!! You can not even tell that the chest was sticking out. I would recommend this brace correction for any child. With a little perseverance, support from family and friends and Dr Seifarth your child will receive correction. Correction of something that could be embarrassing, maybe even painful. I am so glad that Wesley does not need to worry about this. He can swim without a shirt on and he does not worry about questions asking what is that on your chest. He is right as rain and we are both so thankful for the pectus information and opportunities of getting correction while he is young. Thank you so much Dr Seifarth. Wesely and I can not be more happy with the outcome of wearing the brace. Hard work and dedication pays off! Freaking Awesome!!!

Walk him through every step to make sure my son with autism understood what he was up against. He’s been very attentive comes in everyday for updates and lays out the next step of expectations for my son. Him and his hospital has been so helpful with all our need as we came 8 hours away to have this surgery done. Most helpful hospital I’ve ever been to with so much care and concern.

Seifarth" title="Dr. Federico G. Seifarth" class="jrMediaPhoto" align="right" /> Dr. Seifarth was our savior. We had been told that we would have to have our son's pectus carinatum treated by providers in Denver, Salt Lake or Spokane before we found Dr. Seifarth at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell, Mt. He provided us a 30 minute telephone consultation before scheduling our first appointment with and gave us the options we would have to consider for treatment of our son's condition. Though he is a surgeon, he understood the cost and implications of surgery and offered the non-surgical approach (use of the T-Joe Brace) to reverse the pectus carinatum. Within two weeks of receiving the brace, the condition had been mostly reversed! Dr. Seifarth did an amazing job working with our 13 year old son, making certain that his questions and concerns were answered and that he, as the patient, was aware of the condition and subsequent treatment.

Seifarth" title="Dr. Federico G. Seifarth" class="jrMediaPhoto" align="right" /> We are so incredibly grateful that we were referred to Dr. Seifarth for our son’s pectus repair. He is amazing! From the moment we were introduced, Dr. Seifarth was patient and understanding, making sure that we were comfortable with every step of the procedure all the way through recovery. He made sure that our son understood what he could expect at all stages, and realistic expectations made for a smooth recovery.

We have never had a surgeon that is so straight forward, trustworthy and down to earth. He kept the mood light and stress levels low. His accessibility is second to none, and he always made sure he was available if we had questions. We knew exactly what to expect and were always treated with the utmost care and respect.
