Dr. Stovroff examined my son back in April 2018 after I was told by an Ortho that my son's condition would "go away on it's own". I found Dr. Stovroff by researching the condition on the web. Upon my first visit, I was a bit skeptical because he seemed overly confident. He talked to us initially in detail about bracing options. After further discussion, my husband and I decided surgery was the best option for our son. I called the office to talk to Dr. Stovroff about surgery and he called me back within the hour. He allowed me to ask all my questions regarding the surgery and what it would entail. The day of the surgery, Dr Stovroff gave us his person cell number while in Pre-Op. This shocked me as no Dr. has ever given us their personal cell phone. He walked us through the procedure and it went exactly as he explained. Afterwards, he visited my son in the hospital and called to check on him several times after being discharged. After several weeks, the bandages came off and I was dismayed to see how PERFECT my son's incision was! It was one of my biggest fears because he's only 15. He performed the Ravitch on my son and the deformity is completely gone and the scar looks like it will heal very nicely. I want to thank Dr. Stovroff for being the right surgeon for the job at the right time. My son no longer has to explain the pectus to his swimmates any more and will move foward with a greater sense of self....all because of Dr. Stovroff. Thank you so much!
