A paramedic diagnosed with pectus excavatum, a condition that forced her sternum to compress her heart, shifting her heart into her left lung, underwent surgery and is recovery. Tami Scott, a Wyoming Medical Center paramedic, is now in her fourth week of recovery and is doing well, KCWY13 reports. Colleagues came together to raise money for her surgery, providing $1,400 through the Tami’s Heart fundraiser. Scott said she’s enjoying her time at home during the recovery, but is eager to return to work.
