Fourteen-year-old Jenna Kister could fit 164 Skittles in what she calls her “dent” before she had surgery to correct it two years ago.
'The then-12-year-old, who lives in Junction City, said she thought the feat was “pretty cool,” but that the tradeoff for losing it — being able to breathe — was even better.
Kister had a condition called pectus excavatum, or “sunken chest,” a condition where the rib cage and breastbone develop abnormally and grow inward, causing a sunken chest bone, according to the Mayo Clinic.
